Verdant Joy

Well, to quote old Winnie, today was not the beginning of the end, but it was the end of the beginning. I finally finished painting the outside of Herman2. Now all I have to do is change the cambelt, build the interior and fit him out and I’ll be about four grand the poorer and materially not that much different from where I was four months ago –albeit with [hopefully!] a slightly more future-proof Herman this time.

Not much to say about the thrilling events of today. Let’s face it when you’ve read one description of the Forth Bridge in automotive form being painted, you’ve read them all. So instead, here are a couple of snaps of the historic finale to Herman2’s getting his new suit of clothes.

A thrilling moment. The last piece of white about to be covered. Not the end of the job, as I had to still put on a second coat, but momentous nonetheless

Job is a good-fucking-'un!

If I ever buy another van and say I’m thinking of changing the colour, someone please shoot me!
